The Novem

Thane - God of Magic

The high god of Stonewood. He is father to the other gods and the god of all magic. He often spends time in the library in the Stonewood keep, with a really big locked book that this author would advise against touching. In appearance, he is a very tall, slender human male, with flowing silver hair and what appear to be tribal markings on his face. He provides all magic to the lands and to its members. When there is a spell to be cast or magic to be weaved he is the one who grants you his gift. All thanks for magic is given to him.

Zargon - God of Death and Undeath

A slick fellow with a flair for showcasing his power, and a great love of his “children,” as he calls them. He wears a cloak in the Stonewood colors, as well as full black armor, which is either leather or plate depending on his mood at the moment. If you hear the woods breaking behind you in Stonewood, run. It is likely his champion, Nemesis, nearby. Which means you shouldn't be. His children are among the most predominant in the lands as the soil itself brings them to life. His hand holds much power. He is the one who ferries the stained souls to the Land of the Lost Souls.

Joseph - God of Knowledge

Widely revered in the North, he appears as a floating skull. He takes this miniature skull as his corporeal form to be able to travel with mortals and experience adventuring as not many gods can. Although this is his commonly chosen form it is not always what he dons. In his true mortal form he wears gray colors in the fashion of dingy robes that seem to be well traveled. His pursuit for knowledge is vast and out stretched. He gifts his wisdom to those who seek it in the form of riddles or skewed visions. He believes if you are to have powerful knowledge you must be smart enough to obtain it.

Markyl - God of Life and Healing

He wears pure white robes, with his symbol embroidered on the hood just above his eyes. All those who are in need have his power blessed upon them. When there is a fallen friend on the field, it is his gift that brings them back. With his power none shall go untreated.

Providian - God of Law and Justice

He represents the concept of just versus unjust, and will defend the law to the last. He is seen wearing white and silver plate armor, with his symbol etched on the breastplate. For him there is no gray area of law. There is right and there is wrong. For those who do wrong it is his swift hand that guides the defenders to vanquish the wrong doer.

Galbash - God of Night and Dreams

He is occasionally soft-spoken in person, but whenever you fall asleep in Stonewood prepare yourself for a possible visit. He appears enveloped in a cloak blacker than the night sky, and his face appears vampire. He is also the lord of the Land of the Dreamers. This place holds all of his children. Every dream had, is influenced by him and he knows all your thoughts, your fears and your desires.

Solarus - God of War and Peace

The Angels of Wrath and Defense are said to be the sword and shield of Solarus; she directs them where to strike out in battle and where to set up a defense. She herself appears as an angel in armor, her symbol emblazoned down her front. She brings the power of war to those who seek to end it for peace. In times of great need it is said that her champion Azurewrath will swoop in from the skies and take the field to sway the tides of war in favor of her worshipers.

Soren - God of War and Destruction

In times of war, there is no one else you'd want at your side, and no one else who inspires such dread should he show up across from you. He appears in blood red plate armor covered in jutting spikes, the breastplate adorned with his symbol. When his name is called upon in times of war there is only carnage and disaster in the wake. Few have survived the onslaught of his great and mighty followers. When there is something to destroy or conquer it is his name who is shouted upon the battle field.

Justicar - God of Defense

He is a stalwart protector of the lands of Stonewood, and anyone who cannot protect themselves. His domain diverges from Providian in that he protects the weak and will strike out for personal justice, where Providian sticks to the law. He is best known for his tower shield, behind which he wears deep black and blue plate armor. He defends those who feel they have not been treated justly and guides their hand in the best possible way. It is a common occurrence when a village is being ransacked that he imbues a town protectorate with his power so that they may drive off the invaders.
